The Kumaon and Garhwal regions of Uttarakhand have contributed a lot in socioeconomic development of the country by usage of their natural resources. The cultural heritage of the regions has also registered its place in the Indian Cultural Society.
The Parvatiya Lok Kala Manch, one of the renowned cultural group, has contributed a lot in cultural development of the region since its inception in 1987. The main successful presentations of the Manch are “Sudama Charitra“, “Pushpa Kanya“, “Kagare Aag“, “Rajula Malusahi“, “Ritu Raina“, “Baramasa” and other cultural shows like “Paravatiya Mahotsava”, “Uttarayani Mela“, “Bagwali Tyar” in Delhi and cultural stage shows in other states performed by devoted and talented artists are also other additions in the series of cultural events of the Manch.
The Manch is now going to perform a mystical play “Aanchari-Manchari” written by noted writer Harisuman Bisht on third week of May, 2011 in Delhi. Some renowned personalities of Uttarakhand would grace this occasion and would witness the play.
On this occasion, a souvenir will be brought out in which in addition to articles of socioeconomic, educational and cultural activities, advertisements of various organizations, business houses etc. will be published and circulated through circulation of about 5000 copies of the souvenir.
